Pumpkin Patch!
Yesterday Carson visited his first Pumpkin Patch and we took pictures there. Later we went to another Pumpkin Patch and bought his first pumpkin! :-D
My bad
I spent the weekend trying to spend as much time as I could with Carson and I never wrote in my blog. Carson has started crawling long distances now. He has the cutest crawl. It's kind of a sit down scoot thing, but he gets around. Saturday he crawled up to be and sat in between my legs and played. He just wanted to be near me. I love my buddy.

My love
Carson is kind of a cautious kid. He won't try to crawl to a toy if he thinks it's too far away. Tonight we worked on trying to grab toys that are far away.

Dinner time
Dinner time with Carson is always interesting. His initial reaction to what's for dinner is usually negative but once he tastes it he changes his tune. Tonight was especially challenging, so I caved and turned on Disney Jr.

7 month old
Wow it is hard to believe my little man is 7 months old. He is crawling around and loves to play. I am so proud to be his mother and I am enjoying watching him grow up. He has such an outgoing personality and a contagious smile. Just today at the grocery store Carson flirted with about every lady that spoke to him but I really love to see his response to other children. A couple of young kids flew passed us at the grocery store and they were laughing and Carson started to speak to them and it was so cute. Gosh I love him.

Dedication
My husband studies and rocks Carson. He is in the middle of Ph.D school but he still manages to find time each night to spend with Carson.

My Little Pumpkin
The Boo wants to be with Derek (Carson's dad) or me always. It's his new thing and It is the sweetest thing too.
He gets to spend more time with me than his Dad, so whenever he sees his dad it's like he just won the lottery. He grins from ear to ear, so happy to see Daddy-Boo. Derek is so dedicated to that little man, he spends every chance he gets with him.
He always laughs at my jokes and silly faces. He also thinks its hilarious when I laugh. One cool thing we learned about him this weekend is that he thinks the sounds fireworks make is hilarious. I was worried that the fireworks at Disney would scare him but instead it made him belly laugh. So so so cute.

Living each day to the fullest
Some days you are reminded of how lucky you especially when you haven't been feeling very lucky at all. Today I wanted to write about my morning commute with Carson but I deleted what I wrote to write about something much more important.
I met two of my favorite ladies for lunch today and when I went to sit down with one of my friends (let's call her Missy) there was a gentleman speaking to her. Little did I know, he was telling her about a tragedy he had just experienced.
This is so tough to write about but I can't think about anything else.
The conversation at lunch got a bit awkward, so Missy decided to change the subject. She asked me how my weekend was and then I preceded to tell her about how we spent the weekend in the hospital with Carson because on Saturday evening he passed out after vomiting on our bus on the way to Epcot. Disney staff was great and the paramedics got to Carson quickly. They were able to wake Carson up by starting an IV on him.
We spent the rest of the weekend including Monday at a hospital in Orlando to determine what caused it. They still don't know what caused it. Then I continued to tell them how the doctors were worried that Carson had seizure and went on and on with my story.
I had no idea that the man I had just met through Missy had just lost his son to seizures. His son was only a few months older than Carson.
I felt horrible when she told me after they left.
I remember the night of Carson's scare and I thought my world was ending. The feelings from that night rush back when I think about what must be experiencing.
I did not mention it on my original post but it was last Saturday's event that made me decided to start this blog to document Carson's life.
I am not sure why God wanted me to cross paths with this gentleman but it has definitely made me appreciate how fragile life is and how I should be spending each and every day living it to the fullest. I will pray for him, his baby boy, and his family.

An incredible little guy
Who is this little guy that brings so much joy to my life? This is Carson (a.k.a Carson-Boo or the Boo) and he has a smile that always makes my day. He loves to laugh especially at his dad's goofy faces.
Carson will be 7 months old in 5 days. He was born on March 14, 2012. He shares this day with pi and Einstein :).
Words can not describe the pride I have in him and I hope to use this blog to document his life.
